Fair trade regulator CCI on Tuesday cleared Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s proposal to acquire up to 24.99 per cent stake in private sector lender Yes Bank. SMBC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. (SMFG). It is among the leading foreign banks in India, and SMFG’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SMFG India Credit Company, is among the largest diversified NBFCs in India. The development follows May 9, 2025, disclosure of Yes Bank about the SMBC’s proposed acquisition of a 20 per cent holding in the lender through a secondary stake purchase of 13.19 per cent stake from the State Bank of India and 6.81 per cent share from seven other shareholders: Axis Bank, Bandhan Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Cupid Ltd has announced that its current B2B export order book is at $11.50 Million (over ₹100 crore), across three of its key products: Male condoms, Female condoms, and Lubricants, which is scheduled to be executed in Q2 and Q3 of FY26. These orders are from international government tenders in South Africa, Tanzania, and Kenya, as well as from international agencies, the WHO/UNFPA, NGOs like MSI and PSI.
PNC Infratech Ltd has emerged as the Lowest (L1) Bidder in a tender floated by Airports Authority of India (AAI) for “Development of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport Varanasi”. The project comprises the Extension of the Runway along with the re-carpeting and strengthening of the existing runway and allied works for a quoted amount of Rs. 2,97,01,47,756.95 exclusive of GST. The financial bids were opened on September 2.
ITCONS E-Solutions Limited has been awarded a new contract by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, for the deployment of 134 skilled and semi-skilled resources for a period of two years. The total contract value is Rs 9.81 crore, inclusive of all taxes and duties.
The board of Waaree Energies has approved a proposal to acquire a 64 per cent equity stake in Kotson’s Pvt Ltd for a total consideration of Rs 192 crore. Kotson’s Private Limited, established in 1978, is in the business of designing, manufacturing and supplying advanced transformer solutions, a regulatory filing stated. The cost of acquisition is Rs 75 per share, having a face value of Rs 10 per share. That is 2.56 crore shares for a total consideration of Rs 192 crore.
Pradhin plans to make a foray into the trading and export of steel and raw materials to tap global opportunities. The board will meet on September 7 to discuss the company’s strategic expansion into the export of steel and the raw materials trading segment, and a proposal for a bonus issue, in the ratio of up to 10:1 (10 bonus shares for every one fully paid-up equity share held), an exchange filing said. The company aims to capitalise on new revenue streams amid ongoing global trade realignments, particularly the post-geopolitical shifts in US-Asia and BRICS+ corridors, and India’s growing influence in global steel exports, it added.
ACME Solar Holdings will seek approval from shareholders to raise up to Rs 3,000 crore through the issuance of securities. According to a notice for the annual general meeting scheduled on September 29, 2025, the company proposes to raise capital of up to an amount not exceeding Rs 3,000 crore, in one or more tranches, by way of one or more private offerings, and/or qualified institutions placement of, and/ or further public offer and/or any other permitted modes.
