The highly anticipated trailer of Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, has been unveiled. A sequel to the 1996 film Indian, ‘Ulaganayagan’ reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter-turned-vigilante battling corruption. In April 2023, Udhayanidhi Stalin announced plans for a theatrical release of Indian 2 in summer 2024, citing extensive visual effects requiring completion by the end of 2023. The producers initially scheduled a worldwide theatrical release for June 2024 but postponed it to July 12 due to remaining post-production tasks and a commitment to maintaining high quality.
