Ford Mustang recalled | CarExpert

Ford is recalling its Mustang due to a fuel line issue it says doesn’t pose a safety hazard, but which may cause the vehicle to breach emissions regulations.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the low-pressure fuel delivery line may not meet specifications,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This could result in the vehicle encountering fuel evaporation outside the requirements of Emissions Standards Regulations.

“There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.

“Vehicles are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 79/04 – Emissions Control for Light Vehicles.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact a Ford dealership to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.

If you have any further questions, you can contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 36 73.
