Europe’s least crowded holiday destination is a bargain city break | Travel News | Travel

Planning a holiday? Unfortunately many of Europe’s top holiday destinations have become a little overcrowded.

Dubrovnik, one of Europe’s busiest tourist destinations, has 30 times more tourists than residents.

But while the Croatian city might be a little busy during peak holiday season, luckily there are still a few less crowded destinations.

The travel experts at Wizz Air have rounded up some of the continent’s least crowded city breaks for tourists who want to escape the crowds.

Warsaw, Poland’s quirky capital city, is one of this year’s least crowded European holiday destinations.

‌Poland’s largest city, Warsaw isn’t as popular a holiday destination as pretty Krakow in the south of the country.

However, Poland’s capital has plenty of attractions for tourists and it’s also great value for Britons.

While the city’s Old Town was reconstructed after the Second World War, it has plenty of charm and the city’s square is the perfect place to watch the world go by.

The Palace of Culture and Science is one of the city’s most iconic buildings and tourists will enjoy incredible views from its 30th floor observation deck.

At the Royal Lazienki Museum, tourists can see paintings from Poland’s royal collection and enjoy beautiful spring flowers.

Tourists shouldn’t miss out on sampling some traditional local delicacies including dumplings, herring or wuzetka cake. Wuzetka is a cocoa cake with layers of cream.
